Люксембург принял участие в международной акции #Сад Мира
В воскресенье 25 апреля Люксембург присоединился к акции #CадМира под девизом «Сохраним мир – Посадим дерево – Спасем планету», посвященной встрече на Эльбе Советских и Американских войск 25 апреля 1945 года. Церемония состоялась в саду памяти ( Jardin des souvenirs) на территории, прилегающей к кладбищу в Erpeldange в коммуне Bous. Присутствовали руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Люксембурге М.В. Бочарова, волонтёры Победы и другие активисты Русского Клуба Люксембурга. Во время этой церемонии президент Русского Клуба Люксембурга Всеволод Ямпольский подчеркнул, что это знаменательное событие было не очень заметно ранее, но сейчас, принимая во внимание сложную политическую обстановку, оно может быть основой для восстановления более доверительных отношений между нашими Великими государствами. Встреча на Эльбе, которая состоялась за 2 недели до Победы над фашистской Германией, по значимости может сравниться, разве что, со встречей на орбите и астронавтов программы «Союз - Аполлон» 15 июля 1975 года - также известен как «рукопожатие в космосе».
Мы решили сделать эту акцию регулярной и ежегодно 25 апреля сажать деревья в разных красивых местах Люксембурга. Также выразил свою солидарность и присоединился к акции #CадМирапредседатель и генеральный директор Американской торговой палаты в Люксембурге (AMCHAM) Paul Schonenberg, который поддержал инициативу регулярного проведения этой акции в будущем и выразил желание принимать активное участие в её организации.

On Sunday, April 25, Luxembourg joined the #GardenofPeace campaign under the slogan "Keep the World - Plant a Tree - Save the Planet", dedicated to the meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe on the April 25th 1945. The ceremony took place in the Garden of Remembrance (Jardin des souvenirs) in the area adjacent to the Erpeldang cemetery in the commune of Bous. The head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Luxembourg M.V. Bocharova, Victory volunteers and other activists of the Russian Club of Luxembourg attended this meeting. During this ceremony, the President of the Russian Club of Luxembourg Vsevolod Iampolski emphasized the significance of this event in the light of the current difficult relations between the two countries, hoping that it can facilitate more trusting relations between our Great States. The meeting on the Elbe, which had taken place 2 weeks before the Victory over Nazi Germany, could be compared in its significance to the “Apollo–Soyuz” - the first crewed international space mission, carried out jointly by the
United States and the Soviet Union in July 15th. The project, and its memorable «handshake in space», was a symbol of détente between the two superpowers. We decided to hold this campaign regularly and plant trees in different parts of the Luxembourg every year on April 25 th. The chairman and CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) Paul Schonenberg also expressed his solidarity and joined the #GardenofPeace campaign. He supported the initiative to hold the campaign regularly in the future and expressed a desire to take an active part in its organization.
